Public Comments Regarding Proposed Regulations on R2T4, Distance Education, and TRIO Programs

On August 26th, 2024, Amy Laitinen and Edward Conroy, from New America's Higher Education team submitted public comments in response to the Department of Education's Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to simplify the R2T4 process, improve data collection for distanced education, and expand access to federal TRIO programs. The comments support the changes proposed by the Department, as well as offering suggestions on places they can be improved by the Department before the final rules are published.
