Public Comments on the Postsecondary Commission’s Revised Accreditation Standards

The New America Higher Education Policy Team submitted comments on the Postsecondary Commission's (PSC) (an aspiring accreditor) recently revised proposed accreditation standards.

The comments highlight that PSC has not addressed most of the concerns our team raised in November 2023 via public comments on the first version of these proposed standards.Those concerns included the lack of specificity in many areas of the proposed standards and suggested significant changes.

Our new comments raise concerns that PSC is creating a significant loophole in its own proposed return on investment metrics for some colleges.
