The results of last month’s parliamentary elections in Iran are now in. For anyone interested in Iran, these polls provide an essential indicator for the presidential elections next year as well as an important insight into the next year of Iran’s internal politics and foreign policy.
Joining us to assess the results will be Ali Ansari, professor of Middle Eastern Studies at St. Andrews College in Scotland and author of Iran, Islam & Democracy – The Politics of Managing Change.
Ansari is one of the foremost respected experts and analysts on Iran and his council is regularly sought by policymakers. This event will be the only public opportunity to hear him speak in Washington, DC.
