New Strategies for Public Policy Development

Washington, D.C. 20005 - 6PM – 8PM EDT
Please join New America for a thought-provoking event that is set to challenge leaders in the public policy community to reevaluate the process behind presenting ideas to the government.
On June 14th, New America President and CEO Anne-Marie Slaughter, along with Roger Martin, Institute Director of the Martin Prosperity Institute, will discuss ideas that could potentially transform the think tank for 21st century government; meaning new methods of collaborative policy development that engages more effectively with community stakeholders, story-telling policy issues to educate a broader public, and also bridging gaps between technical knowledge and policy-making.
This discussion will bring together the visions of two think tank leaders in the US and Canada – both of whom are taking on this challenge in the context of elections and new administrations.
