Elizabeth Warren at NAF

Recently we’ve been focusing on the debate over Consumer Financial Protection, following the ups and downs of negotiations, the lighter side of events as well as offering some suggestions for how best to proceed. This is a topic that we believe is critical, as the outcome of the debate will have a major say in shaping the landscape for consumers in the coming years.

For that reason, we’re extremely excited to have Elizabeth Warren at an event at New America tomorrow. Professor Warren currently serves as the Chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel which is charged to “review the current state of financial markets and the regulatory system.”

Events have been moving very quickly in recent weeks as the Senate seeks a way forward on regulatory reform. Professor Warren is uniquely positioned to give comment on what is happening, and what should be happening in order to best protect consumers in the future. She will deliver remarks and then have a conversation with journalist David Corn that should be very illuminating.
