Fall Internship Postings for Graduate and Undergraduate Level Students

The Asset Building Program and the Global Assets Project at New America are seeking fall semester interns to join us on a part-time basis in September. Internships can be completed for academic credit, if applicable, and offer transit benefits, as well as extensive opportunities to be immersed in the work of the programs. 

Asset Building Program

The Asset Building Program is a domestic policy program, focused on building the economic security of low- and middle-income people in the U.S. through savings and asset ownership. The program conducts research on policy ideas that help people access safe financial products, affordable lending and credit markets, opportunities to save and build assets within the tax code, and move up the income ladder over time. We are currently accepting applications for one graduate-level internship (open to students enrolled in Masters, Ph.D., or J.D. programs in relevant fields) and one undergraduate-level internship (open to students working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field).

Global Assets Project

The Global Assets Project (GAP) is an international policy program, focused on the economic needs of the world’s poorest citizens. GAP conducts research on electronic government-to-person payments, savings products for the poor, youth savings in developing countries and other issues associated with addressing global poverty through savings and technology. GAP has an opening for one or two interns, preferably at the graduate level, although applications from qualified undergraduate students may be considered.

Please pass these opportunities along to students who have a deep commitment to economic security for low and middle income people around the world, strong research, writing, and communication skills, and a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
