Emily Winchester
Events Manager
Emily Winchester is the Events Manager at New America, with a background in event management, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement. Previously, she strengthened connections between Girl Scouts and key community partners in the Metro DC area, managing large-scale events and enhancing organizational efficiency.
Winchester’s dedication to community development is evident from her time as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Central Florida, supporting diverse students, and her AmeriCorpsVISTA service, where she worked to expand STEM opportunities for young women with Tech Sassy Girlz.
Winchester earned a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Nonprofit Management, both from the University of Central Florida, where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Her expertise in logistics, strategic communication, and event planning has made her a key asset in advancing organizational missions and creating impactful experiences.
Originally from Florida, Emily now resides in Washington, DC, with her partner Matt, and her two cats, Pancake and Waffle. She continues to leverage her skills and experience to empower communities and inspire future leaders.
