Resilience Convening

Help us ensure a stronger future for our city: join the Municipal Art Society of New York and the NYC Mayor's Office of Recovery and Resiliency for a comprehensive discussion about ongoing and upcoming efforts to build resilience in New York City!

Representatives from City, States, and Federal agencies will share updates and answer questions about their work to protect the city from acute shocks and chronic stresses, including those brought about by climate change. Organizations working to advance resilience planning citywide will also discuss their approaches. The City will present their Phase 2 application for the National Disaster Resilience Competition and engage in a series of exercises to offer feedback.

Speakers include Illya Azaroff, AIA NY DfRR Committee; Amy Chester, Rebuild by Design; Kate Dineen, Governor's office of Storm Recovery; Rob Freudenberg, Regional Plan Association; Lisa Bova Hiatt, Governor's Office of Storm Recovery; Pamela Puchalski, Resilient Communities Program at New America; Mary Rowe, Municipal Art Society; Laurie J.
