[ONLINE] - Educating Future Data Workers about Ethics, Bias
Event
The students and early career data professionals of today are the data curators and experts of tomorrow. It’s important that they have the right tools and knowledge so that their work -- and the associated data -- is as good and impactful as possible.
In this discussion our experts will talk about why it's important to bring the topics of data equity, ethics, and access into the educational process -- both in and out of school. We’ll cover:
- What that looks like in college and for early career employees
- Why it matters
- How to mentor tomorrow’s data experts
- Why a discussion and commitment to data and ethics makes data, analytics better all around.
- Why getting students and early career data workers to take public interest technology jobs is so important.
