Tong "Echo" Wu was the digital communications intern for the Education Policy Program. She was born and raised in Chengdu and has lived in Suzhou, Upstate New York, Shanghai, and currently in Washington DC pursuing her masters at Georgetown University in Communication, Culture, and Technology & International Business Diplomacy.
She spent four years working as a professional journalist working as a chief editor for Soochow University News Department, writing front page stories for Suzhou Daily, and telling news stories of modern China to a western audience about culture, technology, and innovation on Radiichina.com.
She is passionate about exploring how businesses are influenced by further advances in technology. She is fascinated by the interdisciplinary and integrative ideas on how technology affect businesses' communications with their customers and the strategies that can help address the challenges that large firms are facing in the digital age.
Echo is a self-proclaimed museum lover, certified open water diver, runner, and hiker. She spends much of her time traveling or planning her next destination.
