Siddhartha Mahanta was a policy analyst with the Open Markets program at New America. He reported on the impact of economic power on agricultural and food systems, and on the government policies that help shape this concentration.
He currently writes for the Atlantic. He has previously written on tax policy, criminal justice, lobbying, & technology, for Mother Jones, The New Republic, The Atlantic, and Salon. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree from Plan II, an interdisciplinary liberal arts honors program.
