Robert J. Butler is the co-founder and managing director of Cyber Strategies LLC. Previously, he served as the Chief Security Officer for IO, a global data center service and product firm. Earlier in his career, Butler served as the first Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy. He is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and a former member of the Defense Department’s Senior Executive Service. Butler earned a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems from Manhattan College and a master of business administration from the School of Business at the University of Maryland.Â
