Riker Pasterkiewicz is the communications manager for the Education Policy program and Center on Education & Labor. He directs communications strategy, media relations, external partnerships, and brand visibility for New America's largest programs. Prior to joining these teams, he was the senior communications associate for the International Reporting Project at New America.
Before New America, Pasterkiewicz worked at the US Department of State in strategic communication and public-private partnership management in Secretary's Office of Global Partnerships and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Pasterkiewicz is a proud native of the New Jersey coast and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont in anthropology and global studies with a minor in Spanish, and a master’s degree from The George Washington University in global communication with a focus in international marketing and public affairs management. He has studied and lived in Argentina and China and has traveled extensively in Latin America and Asia.
