Riker Pasterkiewicz

Riker Pasterkiewicz was the senior communications manager for the Education Policy program and the Center on Education & Labor. He directs communications strategy, media relations, external partnerships, and brand visibility for New America's largest programs.

Prior to joining these teams, he was the senior communications associate for the International Reporting Project at New America. Before New America, Riker worked at the U.S. Department of State in strategic communication and public-private partnership management in the Office of Global Partnerships and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Riker is a proud native of Spray Beach, New Jersey. As a fully remote employee, he splits his time between Spray Beach and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. An avid fitness and travel enthusiast, Riker runs 80–100 miles a month and travels 80–100,000 miles a year on American Airlines and their oneworld Alliance partners.

Riker holds a master’s degree from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont.
