Raph Majma

Fellow, Technology in the Public Interest

Raph Majma is a Technology in the Public Interest Fellow focused on immigration issues. Prior to joining New America, Majma was the director of the Department of State Digital Service, an offshoot of the U.S. Digital Service (USDS). In this role, Majma led teams to ensure government services were built through human-centered design. While at USDS, Majma worked with teams to improve the immigration and refugee admissions programs and led rapid response teams to assist with computer security issues. Majma has worked on a number of federal tech teams, including 18F, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and the Presidential Innovation Fellows. 

Majma holds a JD and lives in Washington D.C. with his pet turtle, Soup.
