Naomi Summers was the temporary program coordinator supporting Travis Moore, director and founder of TechCongress. Prior to transitioning to the TechCongress program, she supported HR as the temporary HR coordinator during Enkibe Nova-Martinez’s maternity leave this past fall. For two years (2017 – 2019) Summers supported Tyra Mariani, president & COO, and Cecilia Munoz, vice president of public interest technology and local initiatives, as their executive assistant. Prior to joining New America as a permanent employee in 2017, she was a contractor supporting the HR department as an HR generalist and paralegal. She has over 20 years of experience in the computer industry as a technical writer and analyst supporting state and federal government agencies and extensive experience support IT system lifecycle documentation, e.g. SDLC, CMMI. In addition, she has experience in higher education as a quality analyst and HR specialist.
Summers has a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is currently pursuing her B.S. in legal studies. She was born in Tokyo, Japan and is a native of Washington, D.C.
