Michelle Forest is a communications associate with the Open Technology Institute, where she supports OTI's external communications and media outreach.
Forest joined OTI in June 2021 as a communications intern. Prior to coming to New America, Forest worked as a communications associate for the Antiquities Coalition and studied at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, earning a Blade Foundation Reporting Fellowship before graduating with a Master of Journalism in May 2021. Previously, she grew up in Michigan, working as a communications assistant in the Adrian College Marketing Department for three years, until graduating from the school with a B.A. in English and psychology in 2019.
