Leah Douglas was a reporter and analyst with the Open Markets program, where she researched power consolidation and monopolization in the food and agriculture industry. She is interested in the intersections of race, gender, and class as they pertain to labor, access, and justice in the food system.
Prior to joining New America, Douglas was marketing manager at Wholeshare, where she helped build local food infrastructure across New York State. She has written about food policy issues for several years and has held many jobs within the food system. She has a BA in food studies from Brown University.
