Lauren McCarthy was deputy director of development at New America, where she built and supported the development team’s strategic plan across the organization and with external stakeholders. She supported infrastructure investments and processes that led to increased revenue, productive relationships, and greater efficiencies.
Prior to joining New America, McCarthy worked on development teams at the National Health Law Program and American Geophysical Union, supporting capacity-building initiatives and managing annual fund solicitations, corporate outreach, donor recognition, and stewardship.
McCarthy holds a bachelor of arts in communications with minors in professional writing and political science from Virginia Tech.
