Jo Johnson was a communications and operations associate with the Open Technology Institute. She previously interned with New America’s central communication department, and with The Local Palate culinary magazine.
After graduating from the College of Charleston with a BA in communication, Johnson spent a year working with the nonprofit organization Rostro de Cristo in a domestic abuse shelter in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
