Isaiah (Ike) Wilson III, Ph.D., is a colonel (retired) in the United States Army and an Army strategist. He served as chief, Commander’s Initiatives Group (CIG), at U.S. Central Command from 2013 to 2016, with prior assignments as chief of plans, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Northern Iraq (2003-2004), as a theater war planner and strategic adviser in Afghanistan, and as professor and director of American politics, policy and strategy with the Department of Social Sciences at West Point. He is a visiting professor at George Washington University and a fellow with New America.Â
