Gelsey Mehl was a senior policy analyst with the Center on Education & Labor at New America. Her work focuses on community colleges, their students and programs, and policies that support them.
Previously, Mehl was a senior program manager at the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program, where she studied dual enrollment, community college transfer, and financial aid communications. Before then, she worked at EAB, conducting best practice research on a variety of topics, from undergraduate enrollment to financial and administrative operations.
Mehl earned a bachelor's degree in English and political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
