Faiysal AliKhan

Faiysal AliKhan was a fellow in New America's International Security program. AliKhan is the co-founder and CEO of the Foundation for Integrated Development Action (www.fidapk.org), a non-profit organization in Pakistan. He is also the executive director of the PESCO Group and of Ariba Celcom, which are involved in trading, critical communications, security, transportation and contract logistics. He is a member of the Pakistan International Chamber of Commerce and has chaired their Customs and Trade Regulation Commission and continues to remain involved in trade facilitation in the region.

He has served on the boards of SHV Energy and DHL Pakistan, and is currently serving on the board of the Rural Support Programmes Network (www.rspn.org) and is an active member of a number of their steering committees.

He has spoken on issues of national security, development, and trade at a number of think tank and government offices around the world, including a recent conference at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. He has also facilitated workshops at the Center for Reconstruction and Stabilization Studies at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and was part of an Indo-Pak dialogue arranged by the New America.

He was nominated for the National Defence University, Islamabad in 2009 and is a graduate of their National Security Workshop. He is also an associate fellow of the Asia Society, through which he is a regular commenter in the international media.
