Emily Workman is an independent consultant, specializing in early childhood and K–12 education. She previously directed the K–12 Institute at Education Commission of the States. In that role she helped set its direction, working with a team of analysts to provide quality legislative research and analysis. She provided technical assistance to ECS’s core constituency, cultivating and maintaining relationships with state education leaders across the 50 states.
