Daniel Burt

Daniel Burt was a program associate at New America California, where he supported the director and engagement manager in coordinating communication plans and events, conducting research, and social media execution.

Prior to joining New America California, Burt served as the Under Secretary of Education for Youth Policy of Paraguay where he introduced legislation to create the first student loan program in the country’s history. Burt has been a public policy advisor to former Paraguayan Vice President Federico Franco, a campaign organizer, high school teacher, and youth rugby coach.

Burt holds a master’s of public affairs degree from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor’s degree in history from Northeastern University.
