Dana Ju

Director of Development

Dana Ju was the Director of Development, and managed strategies and relationships with corporate, individual and foundation funders to raise significant support in alignment with New America’s mission and key program priorities.

Prior to joining New America, Ju was a partner at a Washington, D.C. based public affairs firm where she led stakeholder engagement strategies, social impact engagement, and issue advocacy campaigns for a wide range of private sector clients in the technology, legal, financial services and energy sectors.

Ju also brings experience as a Director of Corporate Relations & Programs for the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C. where she led corporate fundraising initiatives, activities and operations on behalf of their non-profit entity, Friends of House of Sweden. In this role, she built strategic collaborations and managed high-level relationships with Swedish-American corporations. The House of Sweden went on to gain international media attention and generated important policy dialogues on pressing global issues between Swedish and American corporations, trade associations, non-profit associations, academia and government agencies.

Ju also served as the Director of Business Development for U.S. Mayor Enterprises, an entity of the United States Conference of Mayors. Here, she served in advisory capacity to both Fortune 500 companies and mayors, cultivating public-private partnerships that brought economic and social resources to cities across the country.

Earlier in her career, Ju was a senior associate at Dewey Square Group where she focused on executing public affairs campaigns on behalf of leading Fortune 100 companies, trade associations and non-profits. Ju began her career as a Communications Specialist for the Michigan House of Representatives Democratic Caucus.

Ju holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
