Clare McCann is the deputy director for federal higher education policy with New America's Education Policy program. She works on the higher education team, conducting research and analysis on issues including federal financial aid, data transparency, and accountability for institutions of higher education. She previously served as a senior policy advisor for the U.S. Department of Education. McCann holds a bachelor's degree from The George Washington University.
