Claire Park is a research assistant with New America's Open Technology Institute (OTI), where she researches and writes on technology policy issues including broadband access and competition, as well as privacy. Before supporting OTI's work, Park contributed to research on authoritarian regimes at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies, and was an associate at financial research company Third Bridge. She holds a BA in government from Dartmouth College, and is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Politics, Economics and Philosophy at Universität Hamburg as a fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service. Her thesis examines the impact of algorithms and algorithmic filtering on democratic norms and institutions.
