Calli Obern

Calli Obern was a fellow with the Resource Security program at New America, where she focused on climate governance and foreign policy.

At the Aspen Institute, Obern manages the Institute’s network of 11 international partners to strengthen collaboration and amplify the Institute’s work globally. Obern began her career as a Brent Scowcroft Award Fellow with the Aspen Strategy Group. She also led Track II Dialogues on climate change with India and China and launched an initiative on climate and national security with the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program. Obern received a B.A. from Occidental College in 2016, where she studied diplomacy and world affairs and Mandarin Chinese.
