Amanda Gaines was an associate producer at New America. She produced audio and video content for New America, and also provided multimedia support for live events, webcasts, podcasts and broadcast communications.
Before joining New America, Gaines served as a corps member for the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, where she worked with Midwestern communities in the areas of disaster relief, environmental stewardship, and urban and rural development. She has a background in multimedia production, including work in audio, video, and photography.
Gaines graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.A. cum laude in broadcast journalism and environmental economics.
