Michael Calabrese was quoted in Communications Daily about the providers and the 3.5 GHz shared band:

CTIA’s interest “is consistent with the strong interest we’ve heard from Verizon and some other providers,” said Michael Calabrese, director of the Wireless Future program at New America. “However, we also expect that the FCC will ensure that any SAS certified to govern access to the band, as an agent of the commission, will be fully transparent, neutral and open to serve any licensed or unlicensed user on an equal basis. The commission must absolutely not approve the application of any SAS that might cloak information, such as the location of base stations, and thereby undermine the ability of the geolocation database governance mechanism to optimize public access to both unlicensed and licensed spectrum that is not actively in use.”
