The Final Year
A Screening and Conversation with Greg Barker, Samantha Power, and Ben Rhodes
Event
On December 13, join us for an invite-only screening of The Final Year, a new film by ASU Future of War Fellow Greg Barker with an unprecedented look at the U.S. foreign policy agenda of the outgoing Obama administration. The screening will be followed by conversation with Barker, Samantha Power, and Ben Rhodes.
In The Final Year, Greg Barker gets intimate access to the White House's foreign policy agenda through several of its top staffers — including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power and Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes — as they execute their efforts to leave a legacy that prioritizes global human rights and a mobilized international community.
The film peeks behind the curtain of a political process rarely seen by the public, and now, as we gain more distance from the Obama years, it offers a fresh perspective on the complex state of American diplomacy — and how quickly it has already changed under the new administration.
