Washington, D.C. — Anne-Marie Slaughter, president and CEO of New America, will join the new Global Advisory Board of global investment management firm PIMCO.

The recently appointed board also includes former Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke, former U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown, former Chief Investment Officer of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Ng Kok Song, and former President of the European Central Bank Jean-Claude Trichet on the board.

Dr. Slaughter currently leads New America, a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic enterprise that provides policy solutions and analysis on security, education, technology, and more. New America is also home to a number of global projects, including the Bretton Woods II initiative—an international, non-partisan effort to unlock new capital for social impact investing—and the Global Gender Parity initiative, which aims to enhance public understanding of gender issues around the world through journalism and storytelling.

PIMCO, which manages investments for institutions, financial advisors, and individuals, will look to its advisory board for insights on global economic, political, and strategic developments and their relevance for financial markets.
