Afghanistan’s Strategic Choices

The View from Kabul
Event

In the wake of Gen. Petraeus’s Congressional testimony, Washington is once again focused on Afghanistan. But the discussion remains centered on an American-centric view of Afghanistan’s current security and political situation, with Afghan voices often relegated to the background. Please join the New America Foundation’s National Security Studies Program for an invite-only, off-the-record discussion with Dr. Davood Moradian, recently nominated to be Afghanistan’s Deputy National Security Advisor. Dr. Moradian is the former Policy Advisor to the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan and Director General of the Ministry’s Center for Strategic Studies, and also previously taught International Relations at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). He was also the chief of Presidential Programs in the office of Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

This is an invite-only, off-the-record event.
