Ross van der Linde

Ross van der Linde was New America's Director of Communications. In this role, he helped shape New America's media and digital strategies, and lead the organization's communications team. He was previously New America's Deputy Director of Communications and Communications Manager in the organization's Education Policy Program. 

Van der Linde holds a Masters in Public Affairs from Princeton University, where he worked as a research assistant to former U.S. ambassador to Israel, Daniel C. Kurtzer. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies, Philosophy, and Economics from Rhodes University, and a B.A. (Honors) degree from the University of Cape Town.

He has previously worked in communications and policy research for the Democratic Alliance, a South African political party, and as a journalist at the African television news network eNCA.
