Robert Bateman

Robert Bateman was a fellow with the New America's International Security program. He is currently a writer for Esquire.com and is under contract for a new book with Knopf (projected 2018) addressing doctrine, technology, and the culture of the officer corps. He is a military historian, having previously taught at Georgetown University in the School of Foreign Service Security Studies Program, George Mason University, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. His last book was No Gun Ri, A Military History of the Korean War Incident. In addition to that he has edited, co-authored, or contributed to 13 other works of military history. He lives in Washington, D.C.
