After COVID-19 - The Future of Lifelong Learning & Workforce Development: What Should Congress Do?

On Wednesday, April 14th, the Longevity Project, in collaboration with the Stanford Center on Longevity, gathered congressional leaders and national experts to discuss the new Congress, opportunities to foster learning across the life course and how the federal government can advance workforce development goals coming out of the pandemic.

The panelists, along with the moderator, Ken Stern, Chair of the Longevity Project, analyzed how workforce development should and will adapt to the demands of a post-COVID world, how the American higher education system must change in order to create access to lifelong learning over the course of longer lifespans, and how new opportunities for training and re-skilling workers over more varied and volatile careers can be created in the new Congress.
