Join us for a discussion about New America Fellow Sabeel Rahman's book, "Democracy Against Domination".

Unchecked corporate power is a danger to our way of life. What would a political economy where we all belong look like? What values, institutions, and movement strategies must we develop to achieve this vision in an era of growing inequality and resurgent right-wing populism?

The event will be followed by a reception, with food and refreshments. This will be co-hosted by the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society and the UC Berkeley Labor Center.

Speakers:

Sabeel Rahman, New America Fellow & Law Professor at Brooklyn School of Law

Christina Livingston, Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment

Paul Pierson, UC Berkeley

john a. powell, UC Berkeley

with special guest Taeku Lee, UC Berkeley
