We're reaching the end of an election season where both candidates have discussed, perhaps more than any other recent campaign, proposals to fix the U.S. child care system. No matter who is elected on November 8, the question during the transition will remain the same: How can we translate all of that talk into action? Where should the federal, state and local government go from here?
This fall, New America launched its Care Report - a fusion of data, policy analysis and storytelling that illuminates the challenges and bright spots of child care costs, quality and availability across the country. Join us for a conversation to hear what we learned during our national reporting, listen to personal stories from California parents and child care providers, and to help us draw a map to a better child care system.
