The Asset Building Program Has a New Website!
Blog Post
Sept. 25, 2014
Early this September, New America launched a new website, logo, and mission statement. Our President, Anne-Marie Slaughter, announced those changes, saying in part:
As a civic enterprise committed to the renewal of American politics, prosperity and promise, we knew we needed a fresh face, as we’d been using the same logo and visual identity since our founding in 1999. We hope, in your first moments with us, you’ll see these as new, just as we see ourselves as representing new solutions, fresh thinking, and big ideas that continue America’s tradition of reinventing itself.
New solutions. Fresh thinking. Big ideas.
While the look and feel is new, those hallmarks of our work remain. My colleagues in the Asset Building Program remain committed to significantly broadening access to economic resources through increased savings and asset ownership, thereby providing families with enhanced economic security, a direct stake in the commonwealth, and the means to pursue their aspirations.
You'll find that we have a new web address, http://newamerica.org/asset-building/, and there will be a transition period where parts of our content will still need to be accessed through this, our legacy site. We know that there will be bumps in the road, 503 errors, and things that go bump in the night. That's an unfortunate part of building a better mousetrap. We want the work to stay at the forefront, so if you notice a problem, or can't find something you need, don't be afraid to email me at king@newamerica.org or any of my colleagues, we're happy to help.
Thanks for reading, and we're looking forward to seeing you regularly at the new site.
